Kirinari Transport now servicing the Mid North Coast

We’re thrilled to announce that older Australians living on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales can now access affordable, reliable, door-to-door transport services directly with Kirinari.
For many older Australians, especially those with limited mobility, getting out and about in their communities can be a challenge.
Whether you need a lift to a medical appointment, help getting to the shops, or transport to catch up with family and friends, our door-to-door transport services will help take the stress out of travelling.
Affordable local trips
Need support to get to the shops or an appointment? Our local trips (under 10 km) start from just $6.00 and can be accessed through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or Support at Home Program.
Regular group services
In addition to direct transport services, Kirinari offers regular group transport between Port Macquarie and Newcastle/ Coffs Harbour and between Forster and Newcastle/ Taree. These services are a cost-effective option for people who need support getting to nearby regional centres for a few hours at a time.
Port Macquarie to Newcastle 
When: every second Tuesday
Home pick-up within the Port Macquarie-Thrumster area from 7:00am
Arrive in Newcastle: 11:00am
Depart Newcastle: 2:00pm
Return home drop-off from 5:00pm
Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour
When: Every second Thursday
Home pick-up within the Port Macquarie-Thrumster area from 7:30am
Arrive in Coffs Harbour: 10:30am
Depart Coffs Harbour: 2:30pm
Return home drop-off from 4:30pm
Forster – Tuncurry to Newcastle
When: Every Wednesday
Home pick-up within the Forster-Tuncurry area from 7:30am
Arrive in Newcastle: 10:30am
Depart Newcastle: 2:30pm
Return home drop-off from 4:30pm
Forster – Tuncurry to Taree
When: Every Thursday
Home pick-up within the Forster-Tuncurry area from 8:30am
Arrive in Taree: 9:30am
Depart Taree: 3:00pm
Return home drop-off from 3:45pm
Funding options
Kirinari’s transport services in Port Macquarie and Forster, and surrounds can be accessed through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or the Support at Home Program. If you don’t qualify for government-funded supports, you can also pay privately.
