Kirinari Reconciliation Action Plan
Working with First Nations Peoples to build relationships, promote respect, and develop opportunities that will advance the cause of reconciliation.
At Kirinari, we are committed to creating a culture of respect, inclusion, and meaningful action in support of reconciliation. Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a reflection of this commitment, guiding us in building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, embedding cultural understanding across our organisation, and creating genuine opportunities for First Nations peoples.
Through our RAP, we aim to listen, learn, and take purposeful steps toward reconciliation—ensuring that our services, workplaces, and partnerships are culturally safe and inclusive. This journey is not just about policies; it’s about people, connections, and a shared responsibility to create lasting change.
Kirinari is proud to be partnering with Reconciliation Australia to develop our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This marks an important milestone in our commitment to walking respectfully alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and contributing to meaningful, lasting change.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, holding a unique and enduring place in Australia. Their histories, traditions, and knowledge—drawn from the world’s oldest continuous living cultures—enrich our communities and strengthen our shared future.
Reconciliation is grounded in truth-telling, respect, and the sharing of histories and cultures. It is about building strong, genuine relationships between Indigenous and nonindigenous peoples so that together we can create positive change that benefits everyone.
About our RAP
Our RAP will guide how we deepen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, grow our cultural understanding, and create meaningful opportunities for inclusion across Kirinari and the communities we serve.
Supported by our Kirinari Board, our RAP Working Group will lead the development and facilitation of the RAP. They will be guided by our First Nations Advisory Group who will ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lived experiences and voices remain central to the process, and their perspectives and insights shape actions that are meaningful, practical, and reflective of real community priorities.
This work represents a real and collective commitment from all of us to continue learning, strengthening relationships, and supporting positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Through listening, learning, and shared ownership, our RAP will lay the foundation for a genuine and enduring approach to reconciliation at Kirinari.
