Kirinari’s Short and Medium Term Accommodation (STA and MTA) supports NDIS participants who need a short break. They’re also for families seeking respite or people moving between homes. Our short-term accommodation options for people living with disability offer safe, welcoming places where you can feel comfortable and supported. You can enjoy more independence and stay connected to your local community.

If you are waiting for SDA or SIL, our NDIS-registered short-term accommodation services can support you in the meantime. Our caring team works with you to plan your stay. We make sure you feel safe, supported, and at ease.

With Kirinari’s STA accommodation, you can build confidence and grow your independence. Our services are funded through the NDIS and include STA accommodation rentals in Hobart. We also offer STA service options and NDIS STA in Tamworth, NSW.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Medium Term Accommodation is usually funded for up to 90 days through the NDIS.

    In some cases, this may be extended if approved. Medium term accommodation support must be included in your plan.

  • The NDIS funds up to 28 days of short term accommodation NDIS support each year.

    You can use your NDIS STA flexibly, such as for short breaks, weekends, or longer stays.
