Voluntary Out-Of-Home Care is when a parent makes an arrangement with a registered service provider for their child to receive overnight care outside of the family home.
Kirinari is actively involved in making sure the children and young people in our care are safe. We follow the below Child Safe Standards when caring for your child.
To help your child’s VOOHC placement be a success, we will talk with you about:
Kirinari’s Voluntary out-of-home care arrangements include:
• Planned and reoccurring short term care
• Long term care; and
• Emergency respite (when available).
We work with parents and external organisations to support the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people in our care and work to improve the coordination, planning and delivery of these services.
VOOHC may be provided as a one-off emergency placement or on a regular or long-term basis.
Call us and one of our area managers will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
